This national US conservation area is found just a few miles west of Las Vegas and makes up almost 200,000 acres within the Mojave Desert.  It is considered a world wide geologic interest and who could disagree?  Red Rock Canyon takes your breathe away as the sun hits this beautiful red canyon throughout the day, capturing its many different colors at any given moment.  A great trip to hike, picnic, climb, or just drive to see.
